The Parent Teacher Group (PTG) fosters communication and goodwill among parents, faculty, administration, and the parish. It organizes various events to welcome new families into the Saint Philip Neri Catholic School community. The PTG also provides opportunities for parents to participate in various school events.

PTG Events and Activities
WELCOME NEW FAMILY DINNER For the families of new students entering the school, dinner is prepared and served by SPN volunteers in O’Brian Hall. PTG members and their families welcome our new families into our community and address any questions incoming parents and students may have about the school.
ICE CREAM SOCIAL The Ice Cream Social takes place on school grounds in the beginning of the school year. Hosted by the 8th grade class, school families come to enjoy ice cream and socialize. Tables with volunteer sign-up sheets for every event and activity throughout the school year are part of the fun.
ART DOCENT PROGRAM The Art Docent program is run by volunteers who enter into the classrooms on a monthly basis to teach and conduct an art lesson based on ideas and concepts of leading artists.
ADOPT-A-FAMILY Adopt-A-Family is a holiday program that delivers smiles on Christmas morning. Each year the PTG chairs meet with the principal for selection and approval of the organizations receiving the generous donations of SPN families. Information on the organizations will be distributed to school families in late October, and specific wishes will be distributed to students in November.
CHRISTMAS CRAFT The Christmas Craft is an art project involving all SPN students that takes place during the first week of December in O’Brian Hall during school hours. The craft is created and presented by the the PTG lead chairperson. Students make two separate crafts: one for them to take home, and one for a selected charity. Parent volunteers help each class produce their crafts.
CATHOLIC SCHOOLS WEEK Catholic Schools Week is a week-long event at the end of January. Starting on Sunday after 9:00 am mass, Open House welcomes the community to visit the school. With the help of parent volunteers throughout the week we celebrate Teacher Appreciation Day, Student Appreciation Day, Vocation Day and Nations Day.
SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR O’Brian Hall is set up with a variety of books for every age group to enjoy and takes place over a weekend during the school year.
CELEBRATION OF THE ARTS/ART DE YOUNG An event not to be missed, this traditional event is held in the Spring. The Spring Concert is held in the church, and O’Brian Hall is transformed into a beautiful gallery displaying artwork created during the Art Docent Program and middle school art elective classes.
